Please read these terms of use (“Agreement”) carefully before using www.butterflylegal.ca (the “Website” or “Service”) operated by Matt Canzer Law dba Butterfly Legal (the “Company”). This Agreement sets out the legally binding terms and conditions for your use of the Website and any related services offered by the Company.

By accessing or using the Website in any manner, including, but not limited to, visiting or browsing the Website, contacting us, or submitting a request for services, you agree to be bound by this Agreement.

No Solicitor-Client Relationship: Using the Website and requesting an appointment does not create a solicitor-client relationship between you and the Company. The Company will only enter into a solicitor-client relationship with you once both parties have signed a limited scope retainer agreement outlining the scope of the services to be provided. Until that time, the Company does not represent you and will not be responsible for any legal matters you may have.

Intellectual Property: The Website and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by the Company and are protected by copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws.

Booking and Cancellation Policy: Clients may request appointments through the Website and provide information to allow the Company to check for conflicts of interest and assess whether they can assist. If the Company can assist the Company will offer a limited scope retainer agreement for the client to consider within one business day. Clients may cancel without charge up to 24 hours before the appointment. After that, full payment is due.

User Conduct: Users of the Website must not engage in any conduct that may be considered illegal, fraudulent, or harmful to the Company or other users. Users must not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Website, or to interfere with the Website’s operation or security.

Disclaimer of Liability: The Company makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the Website or its content, including, but not limited to, accuracy, completeness, reliability, or suitability for a particular purpose. The Company shall not be liable for any damages, including, but not limited to, direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the use of the Website.

Governing Law: This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of British Columbia, Canada.

Changes to this Agreement: The Company reserves the right to modify or replace this Agreement at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of the Website after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
